O’ahu Hawai’i is the perfect location for Your senior portraits.
I have found that the island is so versatile when it comes to photography. Take Kylee’s senior portrait session as an example, this was all in one location! When choosing your location here on O’ahu, I try my hardest to make sure there is versatility in the area. This will maximize the amount of amazing and unique images that we come up with! Read along and see if my session may be a fit for your senior portraits as well.

Time flies huh? If your child is in high school, soon this will be them! If you have smaller children like myself.. then we need to prepare. Time is truly flying by and before we know it this will be our baby. Our young adult about to venture off into college life soon! Now before I get anymore sappy can we just admire this beauty? Kylee came to me ready to be photographed with her casual wear. A senior hoodie and some jeans are right up my alley! For my seniors I love to change outfits; casual, dressy, and gown are my go-to’s. It is the perfect way to start a session since we are all a bit weary when getting images taken, or at least I am… are you? I will tell you who wasn’t KYLEE! Ok, wait maybe I am telling a small white lie. We all need to warm up with our sessions. Once we do, magic happens. No, not Harry Potter magic (even though that would be absolutely amazing) but your personality begins to shine through. Once you let loose and let me take control without your fear getting in the way, your senior portraits become those that your friends and family will want to also have. Kylee’s mother, Keri wrote something to me that stood out. She wrote, “photography keeps a moment from running away.” How powerful is that?
My girl Kylee though, she rocked her session! This politic and musubi loving gal absolutely blew me away! While she may have been shy in the beginning, once we got over our 5 minute awkwardness with a camera in the face… magic happened. These three field images have a secret behind them. This may look like a luscious open field near a forest… but it is not. We were next to parked cars in a muddy dirt lot. Yup… I am not even joking. Let me just add a little shameless plug… this is photography. Making ANY location work to your advantage. Invest and you will not regret it! Find your photographer (even if its not me) that matches your vision. Find the photographer (probably me lol) that is so personable that it doesn’t feel like work but instead is a fun moment in time. Okay, okay… am I biased? Mayybeee just a tiny bit BUT I am also saying this because I do not have any senior images of my own. My mother never believed in photography and I wish I had these images to show my own children! Add on top of that having them done on O’ahu? Come on! What are you waiting for?
CLASS OF 2019
Anywho, back to our regularly scheduled session. This day had me stressing so much! It was gloomy and rainy everywhere. When I say it was rainy, it rained really hard for about 10 minutes of our session. Good ole O’ahu to just throw curve balls at you, amirite? haah! We were able to get some killer beach shots though. Kylee being the natural that she is easily took direction and worked it. I mean, don’t take my word for it. A picture is worth a thousand words right? Check her out being the goddess that she is!
Kylee, I know you are going to do great things in life just with everything you have already accomplished such as graduating with Honors and Magna Cum Laude!! I am truly appreciative that your mother and yourself gave me the chance to show you my passion for my photography. I really hope you enjoyed your day and cannot wait to have you in front of my lens again! Congratulations on your milestone, I wish you many many more!
